A1 (M) North
Leave A1 at Junction 60 and take last exit off roundabout. At next roundabout (approximately 2km) take first exit A167 towards Darlington/Newton Aycliffe. Approx 2km further on you come to traffic lights. Take the right hand land and turn right. Cross over the next roundabout (Tesco store on right) You are now on the B6443 - Central Avenue. At the Junction of St Cuthberts Way and Stephenson Way turn right at the mini roundabout, then next right onto Macmillan Way. There are car parks to the right.
A1 (M) South
Leave A1 at Junction 59 take A167 to Newton Aycliffe. At the next set of traffic lights turn left onto St Cuthberts Way. At the mini-roundabout turn left onto Stephenson Way then first right onto Macmillan Way. The car parks are on the right.
Spennymoor Leisure Centre
A1 (M) North or South
At Juction 61 (Durham Services) take A688 west heading to Spennymoor/Bishop Auckland. Turn right at Coxhoe roundabout and continue on A688 towards Spennymoor. At Thinford Roundabout take second turning (i.e.)straight on) and continue for approximately 500m then turn left at the mini roundabout. At the next roundabout take the A688 towards Bishop Auckland. At the next roundabout take the last exit and continue for approxiamtely 200m to a mini roundabout. Turn right and continue down this road to the Leisure Centre car park.
Ferryhill Leisure Centre
From the NORTH
Head south towards Darlington from Durham city on the A 167.
Take the slip-road on the left sign posted Ferryhill from the A167.
At the top of the hill turn Left immediately before the Post Boy pub,
into NORTH STREET.
Pass the marketplace car park and ‘The Manor’ on your right.
As the road bends to the right take a turn into MANOR VIEW.
(going almost ‘straight-on’).
(Look out for small white ‘Leisure Centre ‘ signs.)
Turn right into BRANCEPETH ROAD follow this around a bend and then
turn right again into Auckand Way .
The Leisure centre is on the right.
From the SOUTH
Head north towards Durham from Darlington on the A167.
As you ebter Ferryhill
Take the slip road on the right just past a petrol station
sign posted Ferryhill town centre.
Follow this into the town centre, as the road bears left
Turn right immediately after the Post Boy pub into North Street .
Then Follow directions as from the North, above.
shildon leisure centre
FROM North -- DURHAM
Take the A167 towards Darlington.
At Rushyford roundabout with the A689 (Eden Arms Hotel )
Turn RIGHT then immediate LEFT – signed SHILDON.
Take 2nd exit at mini roundabout.
Turn RIGHT just before petrol station you can see ahead.
Signed MIDDRIDGE
Pass through Middridge Village and eventually enter Shildon
Leisure Centre is on your left in the Sunnydale School grounds
opposite the athletics stadium.
From South -- DARLINGTON
Take A68 - north from the Motorway.
At roundabout take 2 nd exit onto A6072
Pass straight on at first roundabout,
At 2nd roundabout take 2 nd exit into Redworth Road
Turn right at Dale Road
Continue onto Spout Lane
Turn left at Middridge lane
Leisure Centre on left, in school grounds, opposite the athletics Stadium.
