Green Lane Stay Unbeaten to Win

The Durham County Primary Schools District Final took place on Tuesday 16th March at Bishop Barrington School in Bishop Auckland and was contested by five schools represented their District. Chester-le-Street - Langley Park Primary: City of Durham - Finchale Primary: Easington _ Westlea Primary: Sedgefield - Cleves Cross Primary and Wearvalley and Teesdale were represented by the overall winners Green Lane Primary.

After the first round Green Lane were unbeaten and went through to the final, the other finalists place was hotly contended by three teams, with Finchale going through on their better defensive record. Green Lane stayed unbeaten in the Final and took the Championship.

The three schools who did not make it to the final went through into a Trophy Competition which in a reversal of fortunes Westlea Primary won.

Wildcat players Scott Morton and Stephen Jones officiated the game and presented the trophys and Wildcat Game Tickets which allows free entry into one of the remaining home games.
