Apostolos-Daniel Apostolidis.... yes quite a mouthfull... just call him TOLI, has registered for Durham Wildcats. Toli is a 22 year old post-graduate at Durham University studying Mathematical Science who has been playing basketball since he was 5. Although he comes from Athens, Greece, his mother is English and comes from Stanley. He is looking forward to playing for the Wildcats and Coach Elderkin has been pleased with his play during practice sessions. You can see him making his first Wildcat outing at the Huddersfield Heat game along with fellow new signing Scott Morton.
American signing Scott Morton
from Geneseo University in New York State, USA arrived in England at 11am on Thursday 17th. It's Scott's first visit to England and he will be studying for a Masters Degree in Management at Durham University and will be working with Stephen Jones at Durham University to expand basketball in the University and the wider community. After only his first training session with the Wildcats Coach Dave Elderkin is impressed with Scotts skills and power. Here he is in action in the Huddersfield Heat National Cup game.

NEW SIGNING FOR WILDCATS Notis Chalkidis has arrived from Athens to study a masters in Computer Game Engineering at Newcastle University and has signed for the Wildcats. The 28 year old 6' 8'' [203cms] forward has played for Division 3 National side Doukas and whilst at university in Athens in 2003 played in the winning team in the European Championship. |
