Team Durham Finish 5th

Team Durham finished the season by winning their last 5 games including two of the teams that made it to the play-offs. Coach Hewitt is very proud of how his players have developed over the season and was disappointed that their early seasons performances did not match their later games higher standard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

National Shield Win

Tees Valley Sonics 62 - 74 Team Durham

Team Durham Wildcats started the new season off with a resounding win over Tees Valley Sonics at the University of Teeside on Saturday 19th September. Our boys started the game well and quickly catching Tees Valley napping and going into a 13 point lead at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter Tees Valley came back at the Wildcats and by the end of the third quarter only 8 points seperated the teams. However, the closed season emphasis on improving shooting consistency paid of in the final quarter and the Wildcats came away with a comfortable victory. Leading scorer was John Morgan [18] with Sam Chambers [14] and Steven Graham [10].
