Kevin Bulger

Kevin Bulgar

New signing Kevin Bulger will start his long journey to Durham from his home in Glenview Village, a northern suburb of Chicago. His Glenbrook South HS team won conference and regional championships in Kevin’s final year; he captained the side and averaged 13points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists per game.
In total he played 105 games in his 4 years at Columbia University, an Ivy League NCAA division 1 school, starting 42 games. He finished his college career with 92 steals, 7th all-time at Columbia.
He scored a career high 17 points against Yale, Paul Nelson’s team, and a career high 6 assists against Brown.

Kevin chose Durham over options in South Africa and Ireland.
Wildcats head coach Dave Elderkin chose Kevin after watching hours of DVD of Ivy League games, impressed by Kevin’s leadership when playing point guard, his ball handling when under pressure, and a consistently high work rate on defence.
Dave remembers thinking Kevin’s the man to guard Stefan Gill, Manchester Magic’s high scoring guard – Stefan must have been tuned into Dave’s thoughts as he’s since transferred from Manchester to play for Milton Keynes in the BBL. Kevin joins his new team mates for the first time during the first weekend in September.
